CVSS v3.1 |
| The psqlODBC parser for ODBC escape sequences in application SQL text writes the argument offsets of a {fn} escape into a fixed 16-entry stack array without a bound and does not initialize the array. An escape with too many arguments overflows the stack, and a reference to an unsupplied argument copies arbitrary bytes into the query. The copy of a {d}, {t}, {ts}, or {escape} body also writes one byte past a 128-byte stack buffer. An application that forwards untrusted SQL text to the driver exposes its process to memory corruption. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.32.0, vllm/tokenizers/hf.py computes max_token_id with an off-by-one upper bound, allowing a pre-tokenized prompt ID equal to the vocabulary size to pass validation. For a tensor-parallel size of one and an exact multiple-of-64 vocabulary, VocabParallelEmbedding.forward does not mask that value before F.embedding uses it, causing a CUDA device-side assertion and terminating the engine. This issue is fixed in version 0.32.0. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PNM file format parser. When parsing a specially crafted PNM file, the pnmscanner_gettoken() function writes a null terminator one byte past the end of a stack-allocated buffer due to an off-by-one error in the loop boundary check. This could lead to memory corruption, potentially resulting in denial of service or arbitrary code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: fix TX descriptor bounds check
btintel_pcie_prepare_tx() uses tfd_index to access the TFD and data
buffer arrays before the index is advanced modulo txq->count. An index
equal to txq->count is one past the end of both arrays, so reject it in
the bounds check. |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Win32K allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| A flaw was found in mod_qos. An off-by-one pointer calculation error occurs when merging request body parameters with an existing URL query, which truncates the query string during security evaluation while leaving the actual request unchanged. An unauthenticated remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted request that conceals prohibited values from inspection, resulting in a bypass of configured security rules. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. An off-by-one error can occur in the g_key_file_get_locale_string_list function in the gkeyfile.c file when loading a key file with an empty value. This flaw can cause an out-of-bounds access of 1 byte or a denial of service when the out-of-bounds access crosses a page boundary. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
namespace: look at the topmost mount for a mount namespace file
attach_recursive_mnt() preallocates a mountpoint for the root of the
topmost mount of the source so that a mount that already sits at the
destination can be put on top of the source or on top of one of its
propagated copies.
The copies are made without CL_COPY_MNT_NS_FILE so their chain of
overmounts is shorter than the source's. It ends below the first bind
mount of a mount namespace file. So while the loop walks up the chain of
the source it remembers the mountpoint of that mount in "shorter" and
the existing mount is put there for the copies.
But the loop ends at the topmost mount without ever looking at it. If
the topmost mount is the only mount namespace file in the chain
"shorter" stays NULL and mnt_change_mountpoint() attaches the existing
mount of the copy below the root of the mount namespace file. That's a
dentry of nsfs. No path walk in the copy's mount namespace ever gets
there. The mount is gone until its parent goes and the copy that took
its place can't be unmounted synchronously because it has a child:
S bind mount of a file
N bind mount of a mount namespace file on top of S
A shared mount, B a slave of A, Q mounted on B/file
move_mount(S, A/file)
cat B/file -> the content of S instead of Q
umount B/file -> EBUSY
Look at every mount of the chain including the topmost one. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/xe: Don't transfer shrinker pages for pinned bos on purgeable state change
Pinned bos have their pages removed from the shrinker's shrinkable /
purgeable counts on pin, and added back on unpin according to the
bo's purgeable state at that time.
However, xe_bo_set_purgeable_shrinker() unconditionally transfers
pages between the shrinkable and purgeable counts. If the purgeable
state of a pinned bo changes, for example by userspace madvising
DONTNEED on a VMA of a bo that is also pinned as a scanout buffer,
this underflows one count and, after unpin, leaves the other one
permanently inflated.
Only update the purgeable flag for pinned bos, and leave the page
accounting to unpin.

| libpff through 20260926 contains an off-by-one bounds check in libpff_table_read_6c_record_entries that allows attackers to trigger a heap out-of-bounds read via crafted 6c table record entries. Attackers can supply crafted PST, OST or PAB files to applications like pffexport or pypff to read adjacent heap memory or cause crashes. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ceph: fix num_ops off-by-one when crypto allocation fails
move_dirty_folio_in_page_array() may fail if the file is encrypted, the
dirty folio is not the first in the batch, and it fails to allocate a
bounce buffer to hold the ciphertext. When that happens,
ceph_process_folio_batch() simply redirties the folio and flushes the
current batch -- it can retry that folio in a future batch.
However, if this failed folio is not contiguous with the last folio that
did make it into the batch, then ceph_process_folio_batch() has already
incremented `ceph_wbc->num_ops`; because it doesn't follow through and
add the discontiguous folio to the array, ceph_submit_write() -- which
expects that `ceph_wbc->num_ops` accurately reflects the number of
contiguous ranges (and therefore the required number of "write extent"
ops) in the writeback -- will panic the kernel:
BUG_ON(ceph_wbc->op_idx + 1 != req->r_num_ops);
This issue can be reproduced on affected kernels by writing to
fscrypt-enabled CephFS file(s) with a 4KiB-written/4KiB-skipped/repeat
pattern (total filesize should not matter) and gradually increasing the
system's memory pressure until a bounce buffer allocation fails.
Fix this crash by decrementing `ceph_wbc->num_ops` back to the correct
value when move_dirty_folio_in_page_array() fails, but the folio already
started counting a new (i.e. still-empty) extent.
The defect corrected by this patch has existed since 2022 (see first
`Fixes:`), but another bug blocked multi-folio encrypted writeback until
recently (see second `Fixes:`). The second commit made it into 6.18.16,
6.19.6, and 7.0-rc1, unmasking the panic in those versions. This patch
therefore fixes a regression (panic) introduced by cac190c7674f. |
| TLS 1.3 embeds the actual record type as the last non-zero byte of the decrypted payload, optionally followed by zero padding. The code which searches for the inner record type had an off-by-one bug which could be triggered by an invalid frame, leading to an underflow followed by an unconditional NULL pointer dereference, causing a kernel panic.
A remote TLS 1.3 peer can send a specially crafted record to trigger a kernel panic, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: tls: fix off-by-one in sg_chain entry count for wrapped sk_msg ring
When an sk_msg scatterlist ring wraps (sg.end < sg.start),
tls_push_record() chains the tail portion of the ring to the head
using sg_chain(). An extra entry in the sg array is reserved for
this:
struct sk_msg_sg {
[...]
/* The extra two elements:
* 1) used for chaining the front and sections when the list becomes
* partitioned (e.g. end < start). The crypto APIs require the
* chaining;
* 2) to chain tailer SG entries after the message.
*/
struct scatterlist data[MAX_MSG_FRAGS + 2];
The current code uses MAX_SKB_FRAGS + 1 as the ring size:
sg_chain(&msg_pl->sg.data[msg_pl->sg.start],
MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_pl->sg.start + 1,
msg_pl->sg.data);
This places the chain pointer at
sg_chain(data[start], (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_start + 1) .. =
&data[start] + (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - msg_start + 1) - 1 =
data[start + (MAX_SKB_FRAGS - start + 1) - 1] =
data[MAX_SKB_FRAGS]
instead of the true last entry. This is likely due to a "race" of
the commit under Fixes landing close to
commit 031097d9e079 ("bpf: sk_msg, zap ingress queue on psock down")
Convert to ARRAY_SIZE and drop the data[start] / - start (as suggested
by Sabrina). |
| Off-by-one error in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: bcmgenet: fix off-by-one in bcmgenet_put_txcb
The write_ptr points to the next open tx_cb. We want to return the
tx_cb that gets rewinded, so we must rewind the pointer first then
return the tx_cb that it points to. That way the txcb can be correctly
cleaned up. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: x_tables: guard option walkers against 1-byte tail reads
When the last byte of options is a non-single-byte option kind, walkers
that advance with i += op[i + 1] ? : 1 can read op[i + 1] past the end
of the option area.
Add an explicit i == optlen - 1 check before dereferencing op[i + 1]
in xt_tcpudp and xt_dccp option walkers. |
