| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tipc: protect node reset trace dump with node lock
The tipc_node_reset_links trace event asks tipc_node_dump() to walk the
node's link entries. Unlike the other node events that request link data,
this event runs without the node lock.
This permits bearer teardown to free a link while the trace callback is
dumping it:
CPU 0 CPU 1
trace_tipc_node_reset_links()
tipc_node_dump()
l = n->links[0].link
tipc_node_write_lock()
kfree(l)
n->links[0].link = NULL
tipc_node_write_unlock()
tipc_link_dump(l)
tipc_link_dump() then dereferences the stale pointer. KASAN reported:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in tipc_link_dump

Take the node write lock around the trace event. This serializes the
dump against tipc_node_link_down(delete=true), which frees the link
under the same write lock. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/net: don't retry recv on uncommitted buffers
Commit 41b70df5b38b ("io_uring/net: commit partial buffers on retry")
commits ring provided buffers when a receive is going to be retried after
a partial transfer, so that another request using the same buffer group
can't be handed the memory the first one keeps receiving into. It commits
the number of bytes received so far. That does the job for a single
buffer which is consumed as a whole, but the request hangs on to all it
has mapped:
- For a buffer ring with IOU_PBUF_RING_INC only these bytes are consumed.
The rest of the buffer stays at the head of the ring.
- For a bundle only the buffers which hold these bytes are consumed, the
others that were peeked stay in the ring.
In both cases the next receive with that buffer group gets memory that
the retried request is still going to write to, and whoever comes last
overwrites the data of the other. What the retry fills isn't committed at
all, as the buffer list isn't known any more at that point. So the kernel
hands it out again later on, while the CQE tells the application that it
was used, and for an incremental buffer that it is done with.
The remainder can't be committed in advance: if the request ends up
receiving less, there is no way to tell the application that more was
consumed than the CQE accounts for. Complete the request with what it has
got instead of retrying it. MSG_WAITALL is no longer honoured for
receives into incremental buffers or multi buffer bundles, they can
return a short count, with the request marked as failed like for other
short MSG_WAITALL transfers. |
| ag-psd is a JavaScript library for reading and writing Photoshop Document files. Prior to 31.0.3, readPsd() accepts a totalMemoryLimit for parsing untrusted PSD files, but decodeLayerImageData expects a differently named memoryLimit property and therefore passes an undefined limit to createImageDataBitDepth. An attacker who can supply a PSD to an application with layer decoding enabled can use attacker-controlled layer dimensions to trigger an allocation larger than the configured limit, causing process memory exhaustion and denial of service. The advisory also identifies inflateSync(compressed) decompressing ZIP-encoded channel data without an output-size cap, which can cause a similar denial of service through unbounded decompression. This vulnerability is fixed in 31.0.1. |
| Yeti bridges the gap between CTI and DFIR practitioners by providing a Forensics Intelligence platform and pipeline. In version 2.5.0 and earlier, YETI directly interpolates user-controlled sorting fields and filter_aliases attribute paths into ArangoDB AQL identifier and expression positions in core/database_arango.py. A low-privileged authenticated user can send crafted values to POST /api/v2/observables/search, POST /api/v2/entities/search, POST /api/v2/indicators/search, POST /api/v2/dfiq/search, POST /api/v2/search/, or POST /api/v2/graph/search, causing attacker-controlled AQL subexpressions to be parsed and evaluated. This can provide an error oracle, evaluate expressions against internal collections such as users, alter intended search logic, enumerate schema information, and consume excessive database resources. The verified injection points are read and search contexts, so arbitrary database writes are not established. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| Yeti bridges the gap between CTI and DFIR practitioners by providing a Forensics Intelligence platform and pipeline. Prior to 2.5.1, YETI derives ExportTask.file_name from the user-controlled task name and passes it to core/clients/file_storage/classes/local_storage.py without sanitizing traversal sequences or enforcing path confinement. A low-privileged authenticated user using the default local storage backend can call POST /api/v2/tasks/export/new with a traversal name and use ExportTask.file_contents through GET /api/v2/tasks/export/{export_id}/content to read files accessible to the YETI service account. Running ExportTask.run() can also write attacker-controlled export output to an attacker-selected writable path. The impact depends on the service account's filesystem permissions, and universal code execution is not established. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.1. |
| FreeRDP before 3.32.2 contains a denial of service vulnerability in WinPR's winpr_read_png_from_buffer() and winpr_convert_from_jpeg(), which lack libpng/libjpeg error handling. A malicious RDP server or MITM can offer a malformed PNG or truncated JPEG clipboard payload, causing the client to abort or exit. |
| Unsafe reflection in the connection parameter and credentials profile handling of Amazon Redshift JDBC Driver before 2.3.0 might allow an actor who can influence the JDBC connection URL or the AWS credentials profile to execute arbitrary code in the application context, provided a suitable class is available on the application classpath.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 2.3.0 or later. |
| A logic issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Opening a file referencing a network share may lead to unexpected software execution. |
| HDF5 through 2.2.0 contains a heap buffer over-read vulnerability in H5L__extern_traverse() in src/H5Lexternal.c, the default traversal callback for external links. The callback locates the target file name and object path within the link’s user data using strlen() without validating the buffer against its stored size (udata_size, which was marked unused). A crafted HDF5 file containing an external link whose data is not NULL-terminated, or is too short to hold both strings, causes strlen() to read past the end of the udata heap buffer, and the derived object path pointer may also point outside the buffer. The overrun is unbounded and continues until a zero byte is found. The flaw is triggered when the malicious link is traversed, for example when opening an object through it. An attacker who can get a user or application to access a crafted file can cause a denial of service, and adjacent heap contents may be incorporated into the external file name or object path the library attempts to open. |
| An out-of-bounds write issue was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2, visionOS 27.2. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. |
| An authorization issue was addressed with improved state management. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27.2, macOS Sequoia 15.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.7.2. An attacker with the legacy VNC password for Screen Sharing may be able to copy files to the Mac. |
| Jenkins 2.587 and earlier, LTS 2.580.1 and earlier converts the launch commands in older agent configurations into launchers provided by the Command Agent Launcher Plugin without checking whether they have been approved by an administrator, allowing attackers with Agent/Configure permission to execute arbitrary code in the context of the Jenkins controller JVM. |
| In multiple functions of AllowBindAppWidgetActivity.java, there is a possible misunderstanding of reject/consent actions due to misleading or insufficient UI. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is needed for exploitation. |
| In moveTaskToFrontLocked of ActivityTaskManagerService.java, there is a possible permission bypass due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
