CVE-2026-98642 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix UAF due to concurrent consumption of ttrace lists in alloc_bulk Syzkaller repeatedly triggered UAF splats related to nodes in waiting_for_gp_ttrace within the bpf memalloc: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in llist_del_first+0x85/0x110 lib/llist.c:61 Read of size 8 at addr ffff8881572cd080 by task syz.4.470/5112 ... llist_del_first+0x85/0x110 lib/llist.c:61 alloc_bulk+0x193/0x460 kernel/bpf/memalloc.c:229 bpf_mem_refill+0x386/0x560 kernel/bpf/memalloc.c:436 Freed by task 14: ... __free_rcu kernel/bpf/memalloc.c:281 [inline] __free_rcu_tasks_trace+0x48/0xd0 kernel/bpf/memalloc.c:291 rcu_tasks_invoke_cbs+0x1ec/0x3e0 kernel/rcu/tasks.h:571 rcu_tasks_one_gp+0x13d/0x220 kernel/rcu/tasks.h:621 rcu_tasks_kthread+0xf3/0x120 kernel/rcu/tasks.h:651 The reason is that the UAF occurs after the RCU Tasks Trace GP expires: when the __free_rcu() callback runs, there is no synchronization protecting llist_del_all() against concurrent alloc_bulk() operating on waiting_for_gp_ttrace, leading to the race condition below: CPU0 CPU1 __free_rcu (RCU Tasks Trace callback) alloc_bulk llist_del_first(&c->waiting_for_gp_ttrace) entry = smp_load_acquire(&head->first); do { if (entry == NULL) return NULL; free_all(llist_del_all(&c->waiting_for_gp_ttrace)) llist_for_each_safe(pos, t, llnode) free_one(pos); next = READ_ONCE(entry->next); <-- trigger UAF } while (!try_cmpxchg(&head->first, &entry, next)); In addition, there is also a theoretical race condition on the free_by_rcu_ttrace list. This race requires two preconditions: an in-flight Tasks Trace GP keeping c->call_rcu_ttrace_in_progress == 1, and concurrent cross-CPU frees repopulating c->free_by_rcu_ttrace with new nodes. Under these conditions, the following scenario triggers UAF: // CPU0 // irq work is still busy (on PREEMPT_RT) alloc_bulk() llist_del_first(&c->free_by_rcu_ttrace) entry = smp_load_acquire(&head->first); do { if (entry == NULL) return NULL; // CPU1 bpf_mem_alloc_destroy() WRITE_ONCE(c->draining, true) // wait for CPU0 irq_work_sync() // CPU2 do_call_rcu_ttrace(tgt(CPU0)) if (c->draining) { llist_del_all(&c->free_by_rcu_ttrace) free_all() } // CPU0 continue next = READ_ONCE(entry->next); <-- trigger UAF while (!try_cmpxchg(&head->first, &entry, next)); Fix this by introducing a raw spinlock to synchronize the concurrent consumption on waiting_for_gp_ttrace and free_by_rcu_ttrace.
CVE-2026-98800 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Wait for an RCU tasks grace period before freeing trampoline progs When a prog is detached from a trampoline, it is freed after an RCU grace period, or an RCU tasks trace one if it is sleepable. This covers the tasks that are running the prog, since the prog's enter helper takes the matching read lock before the prog is called. On a preemptible kernel, it doesn't cover a task that was preempted in the trampoline just before the enter helper. That task holds no lock yet, and it calls the prog after it was freed: BUG: KASAN: vmalloc-out-of-bounds in __bpf_prog_enter_recur+0x3a5/0x3f0 Read of size 8 at addr ffffc90000055040 by task candidate/110 CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 110 Comm: candidate Not tainted 7.3.0-rc2-00014-g15071f2a1263-dirty #2 PREEMPT(full) Call Trace: <TASK> __bpf_prog_enter_recur+0x3a5/0x3f0 bpf_trampoline_6442509193+0x37/0xf1 __x64_sys_futex+0x9/0x410 do_syscall_64+0xb0/0x530 ... Wait for an RCU tasks grace period before the existing one when freeing a prog that was linked to a trampoline. An RCU tasks grace period only ends once the tasks that were preempted have run again, and bpf_tramp_image_put() already relies on it to free the image. It doesn't wait for tasks that sleep in the trampoline, the next commit takes care of those. Only progs that were linked to a trampoline can be called this way, so bpf_trampoline_add_prog() marks them and other progs are still freed as before.
CVE-2026-98861 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fprobe: Use guard(rcu_sched_notrace) and check rcu_is_watching() unregister_fprobe() and unregister_fprobe_async() (used by BPF kprobe-multi) rely on standard RCU grace periods (synchronize_rcu() and call_rcu()) to wait until in-flight fprobe handlers complete before freeing the fprobe. However, if an fprobe handler executes while RCU is not watching (such as in the idle loop or nohz_full extended quiescent states), standard RCU does not track preemption-disabled sections. Consequently, synchronize_rcu() does not wait for those executions, which can lead to a use-after-free if the fprobe is freed immediately after unregistration. Ensure handlers exit early when !rcu_is_watching(). Furthermore, fprobe_fgraph_entry() and fprobe_ftrace_entry() previously used guard(rcu)() and rcu_read_lock(), which invoke lockdep on every hit under CONFIG_PROVE_LOCKING. This adds overhead and can cause lockdep recursion if probed functions interact with lockdep. Since rhltable_lookup() and rhl_for_each_entry_rcu() use rcu_dereference_all_check() (which checks rcu_read_lock_any_held()), holding preemption disabled via rcu_read_lock_sched_notrace() is fully valid and sufficient so long as rcu_is_watching() is true. Define and use guard(rcu_sched_notrace)() across fprobe_ftrace_entry(), fprobe_fgraph_entry(), and fprobe_return(). This eliminates fast-path rcu_read_lock() and lockdep overhead while guaranteeing safe grace period synchronization.
CVE-2025-55654 1 Gpac 1 Mp4box 2026-10-22 5.5 Medium
A use-after-free in the gf_filter_pid_get_packet function (filter_core/filter_pid.c) of GPAC MP4Box v2.4 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted file.
CVE-2026-50215 1 Akamai 1 Guardicore Platform Agent 2026-10-22 4.4 Medium
A use-after-free exists in the Windows WFP packet-capture driver shipped with Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) before 7.4. When an IPv6 proxy/redirect rule is active, a local attacker with Administrator privileges can send a single crafted outbound IPv6 packet via a raw IPV6_HDRINCL socket to trigger this at DISPATCH_LEVEL, resulting in an immediate system crash.
CVE-2026-50217 1 Akamai 1 Guardicore Platform Agent 2026-10-22 4.7 Medium
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Windows WFP callout driver of Akamai Guardicore Platform Agent (GPA) allows a local low-privileged user to cause a denial of service (system crash / BSOD) via an outbound ICMPv6 packet containing an IPv6 Hop-by-Hop extension header. When the IPv6 ICMP redirect policy is active, the packet is copied into a buffer that is freed but subsequently passed to a downstream filter. The size of the freed allocation is attacker-controlled (via packet length), enabling kernel pool grooming. Exploitation requires that the non-default IPv6 ICMP capture/redirect policy is enabled for the endpoint.
CVE-2026-113338 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-22 8.8 High
Use after free in Turbolev in Google Chrome prior to 156.0.8078.47 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)

Wasmtime 47.0.0 before 48.0.4 and 49.0.0 before 49.0.2 contains a missing GC rooting vulnerability that leaves references live across try_call unrooted when compiling Wasm modules. Attackers can supply Wasm modules whose callee triggers garbage collection, leaving stale or dangling references that cause GC heap corruption or incorrect execution.
CVE-2026-114042 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-10-22 6.5 Medium
FreeRDP 3.32.0 contains a use-after-free vulnerability in the drdynvc channel that frees a pool-owned stream with the owned-stream deallocator when totalLength is smaller than the chunk size. A malicious RDP server can send a single well-formed Virtual Channel PDU to trigger the free and crash the client during teardown.
CVE-2026-95635 3 Adobe, Apple, Microsoft 3 Photoshop, Macos, Windows 2026-10-22 7.8 High
Photoshop Desktop is affected by a Double Free vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-98122 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: mdb: Fix use-after-free in vxlan_mdb_remote_src_del() vxlan_mdb_is_valid_source(), which validates MDBE_ATTR_SOURCE and every MDBE_ATTR_SRC_LIST member, accepts the all-zeros address. A source list is only accepted on a (*, G) entry, whose source is the all-zeros address, and for each member of the list an (S, G) entry is derived from it by substituting the source. Entries are keyed by a plain memcmp() of struct vxlan_mdb_entry_key, so if MDBE_ATTR_SOURCE is present and holds the all-zeros address and the source list holds it as well, the derived (S, G) key is byte-identical to the (*, G) key and resolves to the same entry. Omitting MDBE_ATTR_SOURCE is not equivalent, as the key is then left with a zero address family. vxlan_mdb_remote_src_del() removes the forwarding entry of a source before freeing the source entry: vxlan_mdb_remote_src_fwd_del(vxlan, group, remote, &ent->addr); vxlan_mdb_remote_src_entry_del(ent); With the keys aliased, the first call deletes the remote of the entry that owns 'ent' instead of a separate (S, G) entry, and frees 'ent'. The second call then runs on the freed entry, and its hlist_del() reads ->pprev and ->next out of it and writes through them. Adding the (*, G) entry with NLM_F_REPLACE and no source list marks the all-zeros source for deletion and reaches this from the sweep at the end of vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_replace(). BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __vxlan_mdb_add+0x1cd/0xd70 Read of size 8 at addr ffff888102852500 by task poc/84 __vxlan_mdb_add+0x1cd/0xd70 vxlan_mdb_add+0xc0/0x140 rtnl_mdb_add+0x157/0x2a0 rtnetlink_rcv_msg+0x207/0x5a0 Allocated by task 84: __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x153/0x360 vxlan_mdb_remote_srcs_add+0x2eb/0x440 __vxlan_mdb_add+0x803/0xd70 Freed by task 84: kfree+0x14c/0x3b0 vxlan_mdb_remote_del+0x129/0x1a0 __vxlan_mdb_del+0x4f/0xe0 vxlan_mdb_remote_src_fwd_del.isra.0+0x162/0x1b0 __vxlan_mdb_add+0x1c5/0xd70 The MDB operations are netns-scoped, so an unprivileged user can perform them in a new user and network namespace. Reject the all-zeros address in vxlan_mdb_is_valid_source(), which covers both call sites. A (*, G) entry is expressed by omitting the source, so nothing legitimate is refused. CVE-2026-94300 2 Isc, Redhat 3 Bind, Bind 9, Hummingbird 2026-10-22 8.1 High
Replaying GSS-TSIG signed UDP messages can result in memory corruption in "`named`". An attacker who can capture a previously signed UDP message can replay it while the negotiated TSIG key is still valid. By also sending crafted queries to a zone the attacker controls, the attacker may potentially achieve remote code execution. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.29, 9.21.0 through 9.21.26, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.29-S1.
CVE-2026-113081 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-10-22 8.8 High

CVE-2026-63924 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-22 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: exthdrs: refresh nh pointer after ipv6_hop_jumbo() ipv6_hop_jumbo() calls pskb_trim_rcsum(), which can change skb pointers. Let's recompute nh pointer to make sure any change won't mess things up.
CVE-2026-84727 1 Apache 1 Brpc 2026-10-22 5.4 Medium
Use-after-free in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a malicious RTMP peer to crash the process or potentially corrupt memory via a crafted Abort message. Root Cause: When processing an RTMP Abort (protocol control message type 2), the RTMP policy implementation deleted the target RtmpChunkStream object. The send path (RtmpUnsentMessage::AppendAndDestroySelf -> RtmpChunkStream::SerializeMessage) runs concurrently on sender threads and dereferences the same RtmpChunkStream object without synchronization. If a remote peer sends an Abort message naming a chunk stream that is concurrently being used to serialize an outgoing message, the stream object is freed while still in use, resulting in a use-after-free. Additionally, deleting the chunk stream discarded its previous message header, so subsequent compressed (type-3) chunk headers on that stream could no longer be decoded. Affected Scenarios: Any application using the bRPC RTMP protocol implementation (rtmp policy), either as an RTMP server or as an RTMP client, where the remote endpoint is untrusted. The attacker needs to send an Abort message targeting a chunk stream id that is concurrently used for sending, which can crash the process or lead to memory corruption. How to Fix: (Choose one of the following options) 1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue. 2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3515
