CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/erdma: complete object teardown when the destroy command fails
erdma_destroy_qp(), erdma_destroy_cq(), erdma_dereg_mr(), and
erdma_destroy_ah() returned early when erdma_post_cmd_wait() failed,
leaking the queue buffers, MTTs, doorbells and the STAG, QPN, CQN and AHN
identifiers. A command timeout clears ERDMA_CMDQ_STATE_OK_BIT and
permanently disables the command queue, so no retry can succeed; the RDMA
core keeps the object after a failed destructor and forced uverbs cleanup
then nulls the pointers, making the resources unreachable.
Warn on failure but release every software-owned resource and return
success, since during terminal destruction the hardware command result is
only diagnostic. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix mmap_lock leak in irq_work path
stack_map_get_build_id_offset() introduced a per-CPU irq_work to defer
mmap_read_unlock() from NMI context, and bpf_find_vma() later reused the
same mmap_unlock_work. Both callers only check whether the work is busy
before taking mmap_lock, so a nested caller can reuse the slot before the
first caller queues it. Two read locks may then be acquired while only one
deferred unlock runs, leaking a read lock and blocking exit_mmap().
Reserve the per-CPU slot before mmap_read_trylock(). Use the same wrapper
in stackmap and bpf_find_vma() so both callers release the reservation on
trylock failure. Keep rejecting the slot while the irq_work remains busy.
Release it after the irq_work callback unlocks the mm. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: account classifier filter allocations to memcg
Allocations in the tc classifier *_change() paths (filter objects,
per-CPU counters, and per-filter aux data) use plain GFP_KERNEL without
__GFP_ACCOUNT, allowing unprivileged users to pin kernel memory outside
memcg charging. The shared tcf_exts_init_ex() action array allocation in
cls_api.c was also uncharged; this patch closes it along with the
per-classifier filter-object/percpu/aux allocations that remain
unaccounted.
Add GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT to:
- the shared tcf_exts_init_ex() action array (cls_api.c), common to every
filter of every classifier (32 pointers, 256 bytes);
- the filter-object, per-CPU-counter, and per-filter aux allocations in
cls_basic, cls_bpf, cls_cgroup, cls_flow, cls_flower, cls_fw,
cls_matchall, cls_route and cls_u32;
- the u32_init_knode() replace-path knode allocation (cls_u32.c), which
allocates the same struct tc_u_knode + sel.keys on every replace of an
existing knode and was missed by the create-path-only conversion.
Also fix the cls_basic error path: basic_change() inserts fnew into the
IDR before allocating the per-CPU counter. If alloc_percpu() fails the
errout path kfree'd fnew without idr_remove, leaving a dangling pointer
in the IDR. With GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT the percpu alloc becomes failable
on demand (memcg at memory.max), making the dead path attacker-reachable
and burning the handle permanently. Add the idr_remove on the percpu
failure path, matching the basic_set_parms failure-path pattern.
Note: [email protected] provided a poc for basic_cls, but it was easy to
extend to the other classifiers.
Conditions to recreate the bug:
- CONFIG_NET_SCHED, CONFIG_NET_CLS_* (the classifier being used),
CONFIG_NET_CLS_ACT, CONFIG_MEMCG, CONFIG_USER_NS, CONFIG_NET_NS.
- Unprivileged user in a fresh user+network namespace (unshare -Urn),
or root with CAP_NET_ADMIN.
- Create a large number of tc filters (e.g. tc filter add dev lo
ingress ... <classifier> ...) while watching a memcg-limited cgroup:
system slab grows far faster than memory.current, pinning kernel
memory outside memcg charging. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: force complete the KIQ ring fences on reset
Like the MES scheduler ring, the KIQ ring sets no_scheduler = true and uses a
polling fence, so it is skipped by the force-completion loop in
amdgpu_device_pre_asic_reset(). Its hw fence value lives in wb (GTT) memory and
survives a MODE1 reset while fence_drv.sync_seq keeps advancing, so after a
reset the first KIQ submission can poll forever on a seq that is never written
back.
Force complete the KIQ ring fences too so their hw fence is realigned to
sync_seq. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_sync: Set HCI_CMD_DRAIN_WORKQUEUE during device close
Since hci_dev_close_sync() can now be called during the reset path, we
should also set HCI_CMD_DRAIN_WORKQUEUE. This avoids queuing timeouts
while the hdev workqueue is being drained. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nfnetlink_queue: do shared-unconfirmed check before segmentation
Ulrich reports a regression with nfqueue:
If an application did not set the 'F_GSO' capability flag and a gso
packet with an unconfirmed nf_conn entry is received all packets are
now dropped instead of queued, because the check happens after
skb_gso_segment(). In that case, we did have exclusive ownership
of the skb and its associated conntrack entry. The elevated use
count is due to skb_clone happening via skb_gso_segment().
Move the check so that its peformed vs. the aggregated packet.
Then, annotate the individual segments except the first one so we
can do a 2nd check at reinject time.
For the normal case, where userspace does in-order reinjects, this avoids
packet drops: first reinjected segment continues traversal and confirms
entry, remaining segments observe the confirmed entry.
While at it, simplify nf_ct_drop_unconfirmed(): We only care about
unconfirmed entries with a refcnt > 1, there is no need to special-case
dying entries.
This only happens with UDP. With TCP, the only unconfirmed packet will
be the TCP SYN, those aren't aggregated by GRO.
Next patch adds a udpgro test case to cover this scenario. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Prevent crash when disable stream
[Why]
Disabling stream encoder invokes a function that no longer exists.
[How]
Check if the function declaration is NULL in disable stream encoder. |
| A flaw was found in glib-networking. When establishing connections using Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.3, the client-side session cache does not limit the number of session tickets retained for a single host. A malicious server can exploit this by sending excessive session ticket messages, causing the client application to continuously consume memory. This unbounded memory growth can exhaust system memory, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A flaw was found in rpcbind. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by sending a large number of unique requests. The rpcbind service records previously unseen RPC (Remote Procedure Call) statistics in unbounded in-memory lists, leading to persistent memory growth and increased CPU usage. This can degrade or exhaust service availability. |
| libosmocore through 1.14.1 contains a buffer overflow in osmo_iuup_compute_payload_crc() in src/gsm/iuup.c. This allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. |
| Vulnerability in the PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools product of Oracle PeopleSoft (component: Portal). Supported versions that are affected are 8.61 and 8.62. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of PeopleSoft Enterprise PeopleTools. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.2 (Confidentiality and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L). |
| Forge (also called node-forge) is a native implementation of Transport Layer Security in JavaScript. Prior to 1.4.1, the affected implementation used pem.decode(), lib/pem.js, missing END line to process the relevant input or security decision. node-forge used polynomial-time regular expressions in pem.decode(), including when searching for a matching END line and parsing encapsulated headers. An unauthenticated attacker able to supply PEM input to any high-level parser could consume excessive CPU with a long malformed message and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1. |
| Echo is a Go web framework. From 4.0.0 until 4.16.1, Echo v4's opt-in Decompress middleware exposes a gzip-decoded request stream without limiting its expanded size. A small compressed request can expand into a very large body when a handler reads or binds it, consuming excessive memory or CPU and allowing repeated or concurrent requests to cause denial of service. The middleware is not enabled by default, and limiting only the compressed request size does not bound the decoded size. This issue is fixed in 4.16.1. |
| axios versions from 0.28.0 before 0.33.0 and from 1.0.0 before 1.18.0 contain uncontrolled recursion in formDataToJSON (exposed as axios.formToJSON() and used internally when serializing FormData with Content-Type: application/json). When an application passes attacker-controlled FormData field names, a field name with thousands of nested bracket-delimited segments causes unbounded recursion in buildPath(), exhausting the JavaScript call stack (RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded) and causing denial of service for that request, or process termination in applications without appropriate error handling. |
| vLLM from 0.10.2 before 0.25.0 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to exhaust memory because the Nemotron-VL processors globally set Image.MAX_IMAGE_PIXELS to None. Attackers can submit a pathological decompression-bomb image to /v1/chat/completions to OOM-kill the worker and deny service to co-tenants. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-33 contains a policy bypass vulnerability in the UHDR decoder that allows attackers to evade image width and height limits because extent checks occur after decoding. Attackers can supply crafted UHDR images with oversized dimensions that are fully decoded before policy limits are enforced, causing excessive resource consumption. |
| Twisted is an event-based framework for internet applications, supporting Python 3.6+. Prior to 26.10.0rc1, the twisted.words.xish.domish ExpatElementStream parser allows an unauthenticated remote peer to keep a container element open while continuously adding child elements. The parser retains the unfinished stanza as an in-memory tree without a byte or element-count limit, and XMPP pre-authentication stream parsing exposes this behavior before credentials are accepted. A single connection can therefore exhaust server memory and terminate the process. This issue is fixed in version 26.10.0rc1. |
| decode-uri-component provides a more robust alternative to decodeURIComponent. Prior to 0.5.1, decodeUriComponent in index.js falls back to customDecodeURIComponent after native decoding throws, and the fallback collects every distinct percent-encoded run before performing a full-string regular-expression replacement for each entry. Malformed input containing many distinct runs can therefore make both the number of replacements and the scanned input length grow together, causing quadratic CPU consumption and blocking the Node.js event loop; request-body inputs can reach the demonstrated size, while ordinary URL header limits reduce the practical delay. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.1. |
| A weakness has been identified in nschloe meshio up to 5.3.5. Impacted is an unknown function of the file meshio/_vtk_42.py of the component VTK Reader. Executing a manipulation of the argument DIMENSIONS can lead to uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack can be executed remotely. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| A vulnerability was identified in smg-project smg 1.7.0/1.8.0/1.9.0/1.10.0/1.10.1. Affected is the function jpeg_turbo::decode_jpeg_rgb of the file crates/multimodal/src/jpeg_turbo.rs of the component llm-multimodal. The manipulation leads to uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 1.11.0 is able to address this issue. The identifier of the patch is 8f51b57e219a914089e345b704c3c8de37a3bb8e. It is advisable to upgrade the affected component. |
