CVSS v3.1 |
| ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to 4.5.0, an attacker authenticated to an enabled Zebra RPC endpoint can terminate zebrad by supplying a getblocktemplate LongPollId containing multi-byte UTF-8 characters. In zebra-rpc/src/methods/types/long_poll.rs, LongPollId::from_str originally checked the input byte length and then sliced fixed byte ranges to parse encoded fields. A slice boundary can land inside a multi-byte character and trigger Rust's byte index is not a char boundary panic. Zebra release builds use panic equals abort, so one malformed authenticated RPC request terminates the entire node process and can be repeated after restart. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.0. |
| ImpactThe undici WebSocket client is vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack due to improper validation of the server_max_window_bits parameter in the permessage-deflate extension. When a WebSocket client connects to a server, it automatically advertises support for permessage-deflate compression. A malicious server can respond with an out-of-range server_max_window_bits value (outside zlib's valid range of 8-15). When the server subsequently sends a compressed frame, the client attempts to create a zlib InflateRaw instance with the invalid windowBits value, causing a synchronous RangeError exception that is not caught, resulting in immediate process termination.
The vulnerability exists because:
* The isValidClientWindowBits() function only validates that the value contains ASCII digits, not that it falls within the valid range 8-15
* The createInflateRaw() call is not wrapped in a try-catch block
* The resulting exception propagates up through the call stack and crashes the Node.js process |
| Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 detection engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection.
This vulnerability is due to incomplete error checking when parsing remote procedure call (RPC) data. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted RPC packets through an established connection to be parsed by Snort 3. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a DoS condition when the Snort 3 Detection Engine unexpectedly restarts. |
| websocket-driver is a WebSocket protocol handler with pluggable I/O. Prior to 0.8.2, WebSocket::Driver.server() passes a malformed Host header to URI.parse in lib/websocket/http/request.rb without catching URI::InvalidURIError, allowing a remote client to crash a TCP-backed WebSocket server when the application does not catch the error from parse(). This issue is fixed in version 0.8.2. |
| Browserslist is a configuration tool for sharing target browsers and Node.js versions between front-end tools. Prior to 4.28.7, normalizeStats() in node.js, reached unconditionally through getStat() and loadStat() on every browserslist() call, processes untrusted browserslist-stats.json, opts.stats, and CLI --stats data with an unguarded for...in loop and plain-object bracket access and assignment, allowing inherited Object.prototype keys including __proto__, toString, valueOf, constructor, hasOwnProperty, and isPrototypeOf to cause an uncaught TypeError or modify the prototype of the returned normalized object. This issue is fixed in version 4.28.7. |

| The dataplane token validator in kuma-cp performs an unchecked Go type assertion on the JWT kid header. A token whose kid is a JSON number decodes as a float64 and triggers a runtime panic before any signature, claims, or authorization check runs.
The panic terminates the entire kuma-cp process, HTTP API, the health and readiness endpoints, and xDS. Unauthenticated access to the dataplane gRPC server can trigger the crash with a malformed token
A single request is a transient interruption; sustaining an outage requires repeated requests. |
| SurrealDB versions before 2.2.2 contain an uncaught exception vulnerability in the net module that allows authenticated users to crash the database. Attackers can send crafted HTTP queries containing null bytes to the /sql endpoint, causing an unhandled exception that crashes the SurrealDB instance and any dependent applications. |
| NextAuth.js provides authentication for Next.js. Prior to @auth/core 0.41.3 and next-auth 4.24.15 and 5.0.0-beta.32, the exported getToken() helper in the next-auth/jwt and @auth/core/jwt modules can throw an uncaught exception when it reads a malformed Authorization: Bearer header. When no session cookie is present, getToken() URL-decodes the bearer value before validating it, and malformed percent encoding causes decodeURIComponent() to throw instead of treating the token as invalid. Because getToken() is commonly called in API routes, middleware, and server-side request handlers, a single unauthenticated request can trigger an unhandled exception in code paths that authenticate requests, causing a per-request denial of service without exposing tokens, sessions, or other data and without bypassing authentication. This issue is fixed in @auth/core 0.41.3 and next-auth 4.24.15 and 5.0.0-beta.32. |
| A vulnerability in ICMPv6 processing of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to improper processing of ICMPv6 messages. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted ICMPv6 messages to a targeted Cisco ASA or FTD system with IPv6 enabled. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. |

| @grpc/grps-js implements the core functionality of gRPC purely in JavaScript, without a C++ addon. Prior to 1.9.16, 1.10.12, 1.11.4, 1.12.7, 1.13.5, and 1.14.4, an invalid incoming HTTP/2 stream initiation can cause a server process created using @grpc/grpc-js to crash. This issue is fixed in versions 1.9.16, 1.10.12, 1.11.4, 1.12.7, 1.13.5, and 1.14.4. |

| undici's cache interceptor mishandles malformed Cache-Control private directives. In undici 7.0.0 up to before 7.29.0 and 8.0.0 up to before 8.9.0, a response carrying a degenerate qualified private directive, such as private set to an empty value, can be stored in the default shared cache and later served to a different caller with the same cache key, disclosing private response bodies and headers including Set-Cookie. Separately, a Cache-Control header that combines an unqualified private directive with a qualified one triggers an uncaught TypeError in the cache-control parser, which rejects the request and, depending on the consumer's error handling, can terminate the process. Both issues affect applications using the cache interceptor in shared mode, including the default configuration. The issues are fixed in undici 7.29.0 and 8.9.0. |
| Wings is the server control plane for Pterodactyl, a free, open-source game server management panel. Prior to 1.13.0, a malformed packet received during the SFTP connection handshake causes a Go panic. This issue is fixed in version 1.13.0. |
| Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.13.8, CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenLabels.Regex and CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenAnnotations.Regex were not validated by the configuration admission webhook, allowing a Cluster Admin to store a malformed regex that later reached regexp.MustCompile in pkg/api/forbidden_list.go through internal/webhook/node/user_metadata.go and crashed the node admission webhook on Node create, update, or patch requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.13.8. |
| NVIDIA Triton Inference Server for Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker can cause an uncaught exception. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service. |
| CoreDNS is a DNS server written in Go. From 1.9.4 until 1.14.5, a network DNS client allowed to request AXFR for a CoreDNS zone can trigger a panic when CoreDNS is configured with k8s_external headless-service zone transfers and Kubernetes contains a headless service endpoint with no declared ports; plugin/kubernetes/object/endpoint.go creates Port: -1, plugin/k8s_external/msg_to_dns.go skips that service, plugin/k8s_external/transfer.go sends an empty []dns.RR batch, and plugin/transfer/transfer.go indexes records[0] without checking the batch is non-empty. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.5. |
| find-my-way is a framework-independent HTTP router that internally uses a Radix Tree and supports route parameters and wildcards. Versions prior to 9.7.0 are vulnerable to remotely triggerable DoS in find-my-way when it is used with Node's HTTP/2 server. The lookup() function passes req.method into find(), and find() indexes this.trees[method]. Since this.trees is a normal object, HTTP/2 method values like constructor, toString, or __proto__ can resolve inherited object properties instead of returning undefined. The code then treats that value like a router node and crashes when it reaches currentNode.prefix.length. This issue has been fixed in version 9.0.7. |
